Q) How long will it take for you to make my made to order item?
A) I always advise it could take up to 10 weeks, this is due to growing , drying and then making orders, we go by the rules of nature and when it is ready. Majority of items will be ready very quickly, but i advise to wait this long just to be sure.
Q) What's the difference between ready to ship and made to order?
A) Ready to ship items
These are pieces that I have ready made and waiting to find their new homes. Once a ready to ship item has been ordered it will be dispatched from Thistle & Moonlace within 1-4 days. Any items without ‘made to order’ in the title are ready to ship.
Made to order items
These are items that I don't make until an order has been placed. This means there's up to 10 week turnaround on your order. I will usually have your piece finished and shipped well within the 10 weeks deadline. However, depending on my workload at the time, I may need the full 10 weeks to grow/ dry/ and create the order.
Q) Are your flowers bought in from a wholesaler?
A) No, we grow everything on our patch of land. For bespoke orders such as wedding bouquets we can order in specific flowers from a wholesaler if they require flowers that are out of season in the North East UK.
Q) Who Grows your flowers?
A) Bettie is the main flower grower, but Mike helps when he is able, he is the king of tomatoes and building the strictures to grow within.

A) Not forever, dried flowers are delicate. although not as perishable as fresh flowers. They can last many years given they are placed in the right environment, away from direct sunlight, humidify and moisture.
Q) Do you offer fresh flowers?
A) Yes, although some seasons are trickier than others to provide this. There will be options in the sop for fresh flowers if we have the availability to offer those during each season.
